My top Wines on Instagram (Part 2: International wines)

This is my last part from My Instagram Best Of and if you have not yet checked out the Greek wines you can see them here. Remember, this is the selection of wines that gathered the most likes on my Instagram account and includes wines from my various trips around the world.

Number 11 & 10

A tie for a lovely Alvarinho Soalheiro enjoyed at Kantina Qaulity Foods in Cyprus and a perfumed and very elegant Clonakilla O'Riada Shiraz drunk in a tavern in Meteora Central Greece.

Number 9

The Maiden is the second label of Harlan. 2008 was absolutely delicious, detailed with an almost satiny texture. A sensual wine.

Number 8 & 7

Another tie with two wines enjoyed over lunch in New York with dear friend Keith Edwards (Masseto and Monfortino) and a gem from Cyprus and Tsiakkas winery.

Number 6

Reserve de la Comtesse 1995 drunk in the unique setting of Citta dei Nicliani hotel in the Mani.

Number 5

Ornellaia remains one of my favourite reds in the world. The 2006 was stunning, drunk in the new talk of the town restaurant in Glyfada, Vittoria Gati.

Number 4

A lovely drop of Chateau Suduiraut in Oinoscent wine bar. With the help of Lily :).

Number 3

The Merlot extravaganza in Aleria restaurant featuring Petrus, Masseto, L' Aparrita, Palafreno, Duckhorn and other wonderful expressions of the variety.

Number 2

Clos Rougeard drunk in Stockholm with dear friend Dimitris. A wine of great elegance and purity.

Number 1

Piedrasassi Syrah 2103 from Rim Rock Vineyard and Arroyo Grande Valley. 100% whole cluster with crushed peppercorns and black olive notes and razor sharp acidity, focus and minerality on the palate. With the help of Dry and Raw.
